Start with the correct reference
“Xylene” alone does not fully specify an industrial purchase. It may refer to mixed xylenes or a particular isomer. Provide the reference already approved by your business, or the specification used by your process. Similar commercial names do not guarantee identical specifications.
Identify your acceptance criteria
List the parameters your application actually requires: composition, specified purity, water content, distillation range or other limits set by your technical team. Separate typical figures from contractual limits. General website data cannot replace the specification for the grade offered.
Compare offers on the same basis
State quantity and unit, preferred packaging, destination and target date. When comparing prices per litre and per tonne, ask for a conversion using the product density and stated measurement conditions. Check whether packaging and freight are included.
Plan documentation and reception
Request the technical data sheet and SDS for the product offered. If batch approval requires a certificate of analysis, specify this and confirm availability. Share access and reception constraints with the logistics contact; final arrangements are confirmed before ordering.
Further references
International documentary references. Requirements for your operation and documentation for the grade offered still need verification.
